Press Release: Mater Christi Middle School Robotics Competes in High School Championship

Mater Christi School’s Bulldog Robotics team was one of only two middle school teams to compete against 30 high school teams in the First Tech Challenge Regional Championship at Essex High School on February 24. Mater Christi School students engineered, built and coded a robot in compliance with competition specifications and successfully constructed an operable robot which they were able to control and maneuver. For the third year in a row, a Mater Christi School student was chosen in a selective process to serve as a legislative page in the Vermont State House. This year, 8th grader Seamus Howrigan received the honor, following Mater Christi alumni, Samuel Thompson ’16 and Hannah Cawley ’17. Press Release: Mater Christi School Tops State Cross-Country Championships

Mater Christi School topped a successful fall season by winning the Vermont Middle School Cross-Country Run Championship with a 20 point lead in the Boys division and claiming a fourth place victory in the Girls division. The championships took place on Saturday, October 28 at the Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe, VT. 27 teams and more than 400 runners from across the state participated.
