On Friday, May 31, Mater Christi School held their annual Field Day – an activity and fun-filled day for students and teachers, wrapping up a successful academic year. Morning activities included a tug-of-war, “Ga-Ga” ball and an obstacle course followed by a delicious picnic lunch compliments of the Hutchins family and their Wagyu Wagon. Students, teachers and parent volunteers were treated to their choice of Wagyu burgers, kebabs, meat pie and hand-cut fries!
The Wagyu Wagon can be found at farmer’s markets throughout the area.
The Burlington Taiko Drummers entertained us with a powerful and mesmerizing performance in the afternoon. Stuart Paton, Founder and Artistic Director, shared the history of the sounds of Taiko.
Our thanks go to Jeff and Anna Hutchins, and to Stuart Paton, for making our 2019 Field Day one to remember!
