Greetings, Mater Christi School families and friends!
As we start the 2023-24 academic year, we are thrilled to share some highlights from our first few weeks. On Wednesday, August 30th, we enthusiastically opened our doors to 306 bright and eager students, including 85 who are new to MCS! We are happy to see friends reuniting and new friendships beginning.
On our first day of school, our entire community gathered in the MCS gym, and Mr. Loescher and Mr. Moore introduced our guiding principle for this academic year: “Educational Courage.” We believe this ethos will inspire our students to approach learning with an open heart, encouraging them to explore new ways of knowledge and personal growth.
We were blessed to celebrate our first Mass of the school year on Wednesday, September 6th, at our Chapel of the Sacred Heart. We were honored to welcome Father Michael Carter, SSE, as our celebrant. Our school Masses reflect our commitment to nurturing our students’ spiritual lives, and we happily encourage parents to join us for these special occasions. A special thank you to Joseph Ulager and Abigail Ulager, our altar servers for the Mass.
Thank you for being a part of our Mater Christi family. We eagerly anticipate a year filled with educational courage, joyous learning, and spiritual growth!
