Lauren Palmer

6th-8th grade Latin Teacher

I joined Mater Christi as a substitute teacher in the spring of 2025. The Latin program began the following school year. I am a UVM graduate with ties to St. Michael’s College, where I also spent a year of my undergraduate training, and to Liverpool, England, where I studied acting for a year. Post graduation, I had the honor of “apprenticing” under the tutelage of John Cirignano at Rice High School and Roy Starling at The Riverside School. I love bringing joy and creativity to the classroom and aim, most importantly, to build strong, meaningful connections with all my students. Outside of school, I am a writer and curious student of many topics including classical Chinese poetry, Tolkien, Shakespeare, and anything ancient or medieval.
