Colleen O’Connor

Elementary Reading Specialist

 

I am a Canadian who was born and raised in Cornwall, Ontario, Canada. I received my Bachelor of Elementary Education from McGill University in Montreal. In 2005 my husband Matt and I moved to Vermont, and we have been here ever since! I earned my Master of Education with a concentration in Reading from St. Michael’s College. Throughout my nearly twenty-five years in public education, I have been a middle school Language Arts teacher, a classroom teacher in grades one to five, and for the last eight years, a Literacy Specialist. I have a passion for helping children develop into proficient readers and writers so they may become lifelong learners. I am so excited to be joining the Mater Christi Community. My twin boys, Jonah and Finnegan, are in second grade here. I am really looking forward to working with your children!
