Author & Illustrator Virtual Visit
On April 17, 2026, Mater Christi School students in 4th and 5th grade had a very special treat: a live virtual visit with celebrated author-illustrator duo Matthew Swanson and Robbi Behr! The hour-long video event gave students a behind-the-scenes look at what it's like to create award-winning books for young readers. Matthew and Robbi live and work in a converted barn on Maryland's Eastern Shore, where they raise four kids, two dogs, and a steady stream of imaginative stories. Mater Christi Students at UVM Latin Day 2026
Grade Five students and members of the Mater Christi Latin Club had an outstanding showing at this year's UVM Latin Day, taking home first-place honors in two competitions and representing our Burlington, Vermont school community with excellence. Hosted annually by the University of Vermont, Latin Day is a celebrated statewide event bringing together elementary and secondary school students from across Vermont to honor the ancient Latin language, history, and traditions. Mater Christi Students Shine at Vermont STEM Fair
On Saturday, March 14, nine Mater Christi School students proudly represented our community at the Vermont STEM Fair held at Norwich University. This prestigious event featured approximately 140 projects from across the state, most of which were presented by high school students, making our middle school students’ accomplishments especially impressive. 2026 Science Fair Awards and Recognitions
On Friday, February 20, Mater Christi School proudly hosted our 2026 Science Fair, highlighting the impressive work of our students in Grades 6 through 8.
