Mater Christi School was recently visited by 4 members of our Burlington Police department: Officers Volp, DiFranco, Wilson and Lawson. Mater Christi School invited them to have lunch with some of the oldest and youngest students. There was no lack of conversation- actually it was difficult for the officers to eat as they answered many, many questions posed by both groups of students – especially the kindergartners who were full of curiosity about what the police carried with them, e.g. the police radio was a very popular subject of conversation. The officers, in addition to the friendliness of the students, appreciated the great cooking of the MCS kitchen staff, too. MCS school personnel are very grateful to these officers for taking time to visit the school.
