Every year, the Mitten Tree asks viewers of WCAX to stop into any of the UPS Stores to donate new or handmade hats, scarves and mittens. Last year, it collected over 13,000 items which were distributed to both kids and adults at local schools, daycares and shelters. Mater Christi students helped sort hundreds of winter wear to help those in need.
