Each year Mrs. Leslie Sem teaches her first graders how to write limericks and she enters these poems in the Creative Communications poetry contest. Recently, Mrs. Sem received the results and eight of her students were selected to have their poems entered into the annual anthology. This is the highest number of poems that she has ever had selected! In addition, if a teacher has five or more students’ poems published, the class receives a free copy of the anthology. Way to go Cayden, Henry, William, Sebastian, Jack, Lili, Isabelle and Ella!
