The tradition of Catholic education on Mansfield Avenue in Burlington began in 1886, when the Sisters of Mercy taught their first classes in the convent at Mt. Saint Mary Academy and continued with the opening of Mater Christi School in 1963. Since then, we have welcomed and proudly graduated hundreds of students whose faith-based, Mercy education has provided a foundation for their many accomplishments.

Now, with the launch of our Mater Christi School alumni association, we encourage you — our beloved alumni — to reconnect with the Mater Christi School community and your fellow alumni!

Exciting developments are ahead for MCS, and we invite you to be part of our future! The purchase of the convent and campus enables us to bring our community together in new ways, including alumni gatherings, networking events, volunteer opportunities, and many other special occasions. One of our most significant recent events was the reopening of the Chapel of the Sacred Heart, and we look forward to welcoming our alumni into this beautiful space that is so meaningful to our community.
