Fourth Graders Create Biome Boxes
I think that education is at its best when it’s interdisciplinary. After all, life is interdisciplinary! Mark Pendergrass Selected as VASE Teacher of the Year
Mater Christi School science teacher Mark Pendergrass was recently selected as the Vermont Academy of Science and Engineering (VASE) Teacher of the Year. VASE’s mission includes recognizing “outstanding achievement and contributions in the broadly defined areas of science and/or engineering.” VASE will honor Mr. Pendergrass at their Annual Fall Meeting at Middlebury College on Tuesday, October 29. As we end another fulfilling academic year at Mater Christi School, it is a time of mixed emotions. We bid farewell to the familiar routines and look forward to summer adventures while also reflecting on the moments that have shaped us. Class of 2024 Awards Ceremony
Mater Christi School proudly announces the recipients of our Class of 2024 Awards. Please join us in celebrating our students! The Catherine McAuley Award Max Robinson and Abigail Ulager This award is presented by the Vermont Sisters of Mercy. The Sisters of Mercy celebrated their 125 years in the State of Vermont in 2000. On that occasion, they chose to inaugurate the Catherine McAuley Award. The award is in the form of a large plaque on which are engraved the names of the recipients. Days and Dreams: “What’s in a Name?” — The 2024 Mater Christi School Musical
With 70 students on stage and 19 students on the crew, Mater Christi School's annual musical, Days and Dreams, came alive on April 11 and 12, 2024. This year's theme, "What's in a Name?" featured songs with names in their titles! Students were in charge of the entire show! They ran the lighting board, the spotlight, the sound, the curtain, props, and sets. And, 70 faces shone with joy as they lifted their voices in some of Broadway's most famous show tunes.
