Rachel Lavallee

Elementary Religion Teacher

 

I grew up in near Burlington, Vermont in a large, Catholic family. I obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Clinical Psychology and Theology from Franciscan University of Steubenville in 2019, and a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from the same university in 2023. I have been involved in Catholic ministry for over
10 years as a religious educator, youth retreat coordinator, and college campus minister. The 2026-2027 school year will be my third year at Mater Christi, and my first as a full-time Elementary Religion
Teacher. Spreading the faith, especially to the littlest among us, is an enormous honor, and a great joy! We will use the Montessori-based program, Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, and similar programs to delve into Sacred Scripture and the Liturgy.
