and K-3rd Grade Wellness Teacher

I grew up in Farmington Hills, Michigan before attending the University of Vermont where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Terrestrial Ecology and played on the Women’s Ice Hockey and Lacrosse teams. After graduation, I began a teaching and coaching career that primarily involved middle and high school science classes and coaching field hockey, ice hockey, and lacrosse in Michigan, Colorado, Maine, Ohio and then Vermont, for my first introduction to Mater Christi School. From 2007 to 2011 I was the middle school science teacher at MCS and I loved every moment of it. In 2011 I moved to be with my husband in Buffalo, New York. While in Buffalo I ran an afterschool program for elementary school children, then taught health and wellness courses at Buffalo State College while volunteering as an Assistant Coach for the Buffalo State Women’s Ice Hockey team. We have finally made our way back to Vermont and I am thrilled to be able to return to Mater Christi. Throughout my journey I also made stops to continue my own education by earning my Master of Arts in Education from Findlay University, Master of Science in Applied Nutrition from Canisius College, and recently my Doctorate of Health Professions Education from Logan University.
