Jennifer Coulter

2nd Grade Teacher

I grew up in Essex Junction, Vermont and then attended Loyola University in Baltimore. I graduated in 1990 with a BA in Elementary Education. From there I moved across the country to Seattle to participate in CHANNEL, a Catholic lay ministry training program and begin my teaching vocation. After teaching 4th grade for a year at Our Lady Star of the Sea School in Bremerton, I moved to Seattle proper and began teaching at Assumption – St. Bridget School where I taught 2nd grade for 15 years and then looped with my final class to 3rd grade. I earned a MA in Pastoral Studies from Seattle University in 1998. In 2007 I returned home to beautiful Vermont with my husband and two young children to be closer to family and take advantage of a quieter and less hectic setting. I joined the Mater Christi community that fall, first teaching in grades 5-8 and then finding my way to grade 3 in 2011. Although I have taught students in grades 2-8, my greatest joy is working with children in an elementary classroom.
