Preschool/Pre-K Aide

 

I grew up as a young child in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, with my mother, father, and older sister. I spent my childhood driving up to Vermont for Christmas to visit my grandparents and cousins. My family ended up moving to Vermont, and I am extremely thankful that I got to finish growing up in such a beautiful place. I attended Saint Michael’s College, where I received a bachelor’s degree in Biology and Chemistry. My love of the natural world led me to work in nature-based and outdoor school settings. I have 7 years of experience in Early Education, including two years in nature-based settings, teaching mixed-age preschoolers, and fostering their connections to the natural world. This experience ultimately inspired me to pursue my Early Education Licensure through Caselton University. In this program, I specifically focused on child development in outdoor education settings. I absolutely adore working with young children and am so excited to join the amazing group of Early Educators here at Mater Christi.
