David Evarts

Board Member

David Evarts came into this world after his mom, a former Sister of Mercy novice, had a change of heart. He traveled the US and Europe with his family while following his father’s Army career. After returning to Vermont, Dave attended Johnson State College, and graduated with a B.A. in Business/Management. He and his wife, Lisa have four children — three are former MCS students. They also have five grandchildren.

Dave served on the MCS school board for 4 years in the early 90’s. It was an honor for him to work on behalf of a school that was so influential in his children’s development.

In 1985 Dave opened a small flooring store. Flooring America just celebrated its 38th anniversary. Dave enjoys working with three of his children in the business and 15 other employees. The team has just opened a second outlet store called The Floor Trader of Williston. He has served on multiple advisory councils for the nationwide Flooring America CO-OP.

Dave and his wife enjoy living in Hinesburg. For fun, you can always look for Dave on the golf course. He also enjoys travel, yoga, and woodworking.
