I was born and raised in Somerset County NJ. I also grew up watching cartoons, playing video games, and reading comics. As a result I wanted to make up my own characters, adventures, and stories, so I always drew quite a bit when I was young. I got my bachelors St. Michaels College in Art and Design. After school I decided to pursue education, and went through the Teacher Apprenticeship Program at Champlain College to get my Art Teaching License. I did my Student Teaching at Thomas Fleming Elementary with some time at Essex High School. After this I worked at Berkshire Elementary School (in Berkshire VT) as the Art Teacher and a Paraeducator. I always struggled in school with ADHD and know what it can be like for someone with those types of learning challenges to be in a classroom all day (it’s not always easy). When working with students I try to bring that experience and understanding into the classroom to try and make learning a positive experience possible for all students! I’m really looking forward to my first year of working with students at MCS!
