I am a true Vermonter; born, raised, and still living in my hometown of Colchester. I currently reside there with my husband, two daughters (ages 13 and 11), our cat Maestro, and the resident class pet- Josh the Beta fish. When I am not in the classroom I am cheering on my daughters at field hockey, lacrosse, and competitive swimming.
I have dreamt of being a teacher since the age of 5! At age 15 I began pursuing my work with children as an assistant dance teacher at Spotlight Vermont. I later attended Winthrop University in South Carolina to study Elementary Education. After 2 years, I transferred back home to beautiful Vermont where I completed my undergraduate degree and became licensed in Early Childhood Education. I worked in local school districts for a few years before returning to school myself and earned my Graduate degree and my license in Early Childhood Special Education. I then worked as a Head Start preschool teacher in a collaborative intensive special needs’ classroom for 9 years in Winooski. During the pandemic I decided once again to go back to school and obtained a Graduate Leadership Certificate from Champlain College. Looking for new opportunities of leadership I began applying to other teaching positions. I am honored to have landed at Mater Christi School as a first-grade teacher!
