Celia Asbell is a Certified Public Accountant with Gallagher Flynn, LLP in South Burlington VT. She earned a B.S. in Business Administration with an accounting concentration from the University of Vermont, and a Masters in Pastoral Studies from Loyola University New Orleans, LA, which led to the opportunity to teach an on-line course in the Religious Studies department.
Celia was born and raised in St. Albans, VT where she attended St. Mary’s Grade School and Central Catholic Junior High School. She credits her teachers from those early years for igniting her interest in Catholic liturgy that eventually led to her studies at Loyola.
Celia has been involved in church music since she was nine years old, singing at the early morning Masses. She currently serves as Organist and Choir Director for St. Joseph Cathedral, and provides music at several other churches in the area. She also serves as a member of the Diocesan Worship Committee, and as Treasurer for the VT Chapter of the American Guild of Organists.
Celia lives in Burlington with her husband, Paul. She enjoys travelling with her husband, gardening, running, and yoga.
