Carol Boardman
Board Member
Carol Boardman was born and raised in Rutland Vermont, one of seven children. She graduated from the University of Vermont with a B.S. in Human Nutrition and Dietetics. In addition to school, ski racing was a major focus in Carol’s life. She skied for UVM and after college she was a ski coach at the Stratton Mountain School, Swiss Challenge, and the Mount Mansfield Ski Club. After realizing that ski coaching was not her long-term career goal, Carol moved back to Burlington, where she spent the next seven years working for MONY and IDX Corporation.
Carol and her husband Scott have four sons, all MCS graduates. During her years as a MCS parent, Carol was a very active volunteer, serving on the PTO board. As her love for MCS continued to grow, she worked part time in the Development office, chairing the Spring Benefit. From there, Carol continued to hone her skills in development, earning her CAP (Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy) designation from the American College of Financial Services in 2021. Over the years Carol has held development positions at Rice Memorial High School, Champlain College and the UVM Foundation.
Recently retired, Carol continues to serve on the King Street Center Advisory Committee and the COTS Board. Most of all she enjoys spending time with family, but also makes time for golf, skiing, biking, and traveling.
