On Saturday, March 14, nine Mater Christi School students proudly represented our community at the Vermont STEM Fair held at Norwich University. This prestigious event featured approximately 140 projects from across the state, most of which were presented by high school students, making our middle school students’ accomplishments especially impressive.
Representing Mater Christi School were Chelsea Anker, Cavan Bisanzo, Tara Clogan, Olin Henry, Brendan Moore, Cabby Ostrander, Griffin Pendergrass, Nora Schottel, and Joseph Ulager. Their hard work, curiosity, and commitment to scientific inquiry were evident throughout the competition.
We are especially proud to recognize Griffin Pendergrass, Olin Henry, Cavan Bisanzo, and Nora Schottel, who each earned Silver Medals, placing their projects among the top 30% at the fair.
Additional special recognitions included:
- Cavan Bisanzo, who received an award from the New Hampshire Academy of Science
- Nora Shottle, who received awards from Thermo Fisher Scientific and the Society for Women Engineers
These achievements reflect not only the dedication of our students but also the strength of Mater Christi’s STEM program and the mentorship of our faculty.
We extend our congratulations to all of our Mater Christi participants for representing our school with excellence, professionalism, and Bulldog pride. We also thank Science Instructor Mark Pendergrass for his leadership in preparing our students for this outstanding academic experience.
Congratulations to our MCS scientists!
