Christina Duell

K-5 Spanish Teacher

I moved to Vermont in 2018 from Virginia and am thrilled to be returning for another year at Mater Christi. This year I am teaching Spanish to students in Kindergarten through 5th grade. I hold a Master’s degree in teaching from Saint Michael’s College and an Elementary Education teaching license for grades K-6. Prior to teaching, I worked as an environmental engineer both in the US and internationally in the Peace Corps. Although I studied Spanish in school and University, it was through my Peace Corps Service that I gained a level of comfort and fluency with the language. I am so excited to bring Spanish education to our younger learners at MCS this year! Outside of work, I am kept busy exploring Vermont in all four seasons with my husband, daughter, son, and two pups. I particularly love to ski, ice skate, hike, and recharge my batteries outside in nature. I look forward to another year of fun and learning with our students at MCS!
