Ms. Humphrey helped Mrs. Rogers’ kindergarten students bake a plethora of gingerbread men in the school’s kitchen last week. Of the 60 gingerbread men, some of the cookies went home with students for their families, some were sold at the bake sale prior to the Christmas concert, and an extra special selection were given to the Sisters of Mercy on Friday, December 17. The students walked their cards and cookies over to the convent for some Christmas caroling.

Prior to baking their gingerbread men, they read the story, created a child size gingerbread man, and created some fun alternate endings to the famous nursery rhyme.
