Mater Christi School had three teams that took part in the recent Odyssey of the Mind competition at CVU in Hinesburg.

Members of the Division I, Team A, were Lauren McCabe, Aiden Flaherty, Cate Kingsley, Philip Skidd, Adowyn Byrne, Izzy Skidd, and Ella Knudsen. Their coaches were Mr. Declan McCabe and Ms. Vicki Skidd. This group placed fifth in the competition for their interpretation of “Silent Movie.”

Members of the Division I, Team B, were Zoe Need, Natalia Stever, Jake Dougherty, Emilie Buttolph, Clara Hershey, and Kayleigh McCullen. This group’s performance of “Silent Movie” earned them 6th place. Their coaches were Ms. Lisa Stever and Ms. Laura Need.

Members of the Primary Team were Kate Larkin, Liza Carney, Sean Early, Frank Kingsley, Jake Broe, Lily Collins, Bret Stoneman, and Jack Bryan. Head Coach for this team was Ms. Jenny Larkin. She was assisted by Ms. Sarah Sem and many parent volunteers. The Primary Team brought home a trophy for their performance of the “Wacky Weather Warning” problem.

Teams from all over Vermont converged on CVU. Each team created and performed an eight minute long skit.
