Mater Christi School science teacher Mark Pendergrass was recently selected as the Vermont Academy of Science and Engineering (VASE) Teacher of the Year.
VASE’s mission includes recognizing “outstanding achievement and contributions in the broadly defined areas of science and/or engineering.” VASE will honor Mr. Pendergrass at their Annual Fall Meeting at Middlebury College on Tuesday, October 29.
According to Tim Loescher, Head of School, “Mark Pendergrass has been an invaluable member of Mater Christi School’s faculty, as our middle school science teacher, since 2011. He is an outstanding educator who inspires our students daily, including many MCS alumni who have pursued degrees and careers in science. The Mater Christi community is thrilled to celebrate his well-deserved recognition.”
