Two Mater Christi math teachers, Jacie Kendrew and Leslie Sem, serve on the Vermont Council for Teachers of Mathematics (VCTM) Board.  Mrs. Kendrew is currently leading the Board as Co-President Elect. She helped plan and lead this summer’s annual board retreat where the board continued their work to support teachers around the state. Mrs. Sem serves as this year’s Conference Chair for the conference that will take place at Castleton University on Friday, October 4th. This year’s theme is “Math is STEMsational”, and teachers will travel from all over the state to participate in workshops on various topics in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. MCS teachers presenting at the conference include Leslie Sem, Jacie Kendrew, Trish Finkle, and MC Baker. VCTM is an organization that provides teachers around Vermont with opportunities to network, share resources, and improve their teaching practices, in order to improve learning for our students.MCS teachers are proud of the work they are doing to help connect math teachers across the state.
