News: Chittenden Cross Country Championship

It was exciting afternoon at the Chittenden County Championships yesterday at Shelburne Museum. The girls ran first and there 18 schools with over 200 runners in their race. The girls finished 4th for the 3rd year in a row with an incredibly close finish with the top 4 teams all within 12 points of each other. Malinn Sigler was the top MCS runner in 6th place. Isabelle Lacy, Malise Sigler , Ellie Haigney, and Ella Byers all being the top scorers and Ava Robrburgh and Myla Altadonna rounding out the top 7 runners for MCS.
The boys team also had a very close race against over 300 runners and won the Chittenden Country Championship for the first time in the teams 15 year history.  Matt Servin was the top MCS runner in 3rd place with Garrett Michiche and Wyatt Sigler close behind to finish in the top 10. Mason Altadonna and Morgan Kenny also help score and Jack Rutz and Julien Buttolph finished in the top 7 runners for MCS. The top runners from both the girls and boys teams will now go on to run the State Championship race on 10/28/17 at  Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe.
