Mater Christi School’s MathCounts team placed 3rd in the Vermont State Competition!

Congratulations to Max Ormiston, Ben Waldschmidt, Katherine Kinsey, and Lily Anker for their hard work! Special thanks to Coach Alan Matson for his support.

MathCounts, presented by the Vermont Society of Professional Engineers (VSPE), is part of the nation’s largest middle school math competition. We’re so proud of our mathletes.
On this MLK Day of Service, we reflect on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s dream of a more just and compassionate world. His words continue to guide us:
“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”

As a Mercy school community, we stand united in our commitment to end racism, a Critical Concern of the Sisters of Mercy. Today and every day, we strive to build the “beloved community” Dr. King envisioned—where love, dignity, and equity prevail.

Let’s honor Dr. King’s legacy by embracing hope, taking action, and working for justice wherever we are.
