Barbara Worgan

APRN, School Nurse

Mrs. Worgan grew up in Pennsylvania, while enjoying her summers waterskiing and soaking up the sun on the white sand beaches of South Jersey. After completing her higher education in Philadelphia, she pursued travel nursing to explore the opportunity where she and her husband thought best to raise children. They chose to stay in Vermont after completing several assignments. And chose Mater Christi School for the family.

After practicing as a NP for a number of years & completing her DNP, Mrs.Worgan wanted had a passion for linking her education and nursing careers to improve the health care experience for the consumer. Having been offered the position as the Mater Christi School Nurse, she knew this would provide the opportunity to pursue such goals, while more importantly improving the experience  of the MCS community within the complex health care system. Things seemed to fall into place so nicely. “It’s what was meant to be; being a parent & employee of the MCS.  I am blessed.”

My first day in the office, a little girl came to my office to welcome me with a gift – it was a bandaid! It is my first piece of art for the nurses office.
