Lori Tarrant

Lori holds an M.S. in Counseling from the University of Vermont and is a certified German Language Speaker, University of Salzburg ’87, Middlebury College [‘86]. She received her BS in Education from The University of Vermont. Lori offers a wealth of experience from both a teaching and administrative perspective, having worked in schools throughout New England and New York. She is a former member of the Mater Christi School Board, and has served Mater Christi in a number of other capacities including as Head of Advancement Committee and Head of School Search Committee, and as a member of Enrollment and Marketing Committees. She has contributed many hours overseeing strategy and policy affecting the development of the Mater Christi School Brand and has worked to develop relationships with local businesses to further enrollment and other opportunities for the school. She has also been a volunteer teacher of Environmental Learning for the Future Science Curriculum to MCS students for over 17 years.
Lori sits on the University of Vermont Medical Center’s Cancer Advisory Board. She is a Stunt Nite volunteer at Rice High School and also volunteers weekly at the Boys and Girls Club of Burlington. Lori teaches group fitness classes regularly and has run the NYC marathon and Vermont City Marathon. All four of Lori’s children graduated from Mater Christi School; Gretchen 2009, Claudia 2012, Anisa 2014 and Cole 2017.  Lori and her husband Jerry are passionate about the MCS community and the exceptional values-based education it has provided to their family.
