Margaret Knows the Ground
Margaret grew up in Manhattan Beach, California and attended Catholic schools for twelve years. After graduating from Loyola Marymount University, she moved to Montana, where she taught on the Crow Reservation. While in Montana, she earned her Masters in Elementary Curriculum and Instruction at Montana State University. She married a member of the Crow tribe and had her daughter, Rebecca. After eleven years in Montana, they moved to Arizona where Margaret continued teaching. Before moving to Vermont, she spent two years with the Dominican Volunteers working in Wisconsin and then the Bronx.
Margaret fell in love with Vermont while visiting a sister who lives in Jericho. She enjoys the beauty of Vermont and feels blessed to be a part of the Mater Christi community. Margaret enjoys reading and running, spending time with family whenever possible, and traveling to new places.
